What Does Feminist Leadership Mean to Us?
Feminist Leadership is about reimagining how power is understood, shared, and practised. Inspired by Srilatha Batliwala’s Feminist Leadership Diamond—a framework that examines the interplay of Power, Principles, Politics, and Practices—we add two dimensions: People and Process.

People
Feminist leadership begins with people. We focus on community collaboration to address power, privilege, and intersectionality. We also aim to amplify the voices of the marginalised and silenced, ensuring they are heard and truly valued.
Process
The journey is as important as the destination. We emphasise inclusion, engagement, and reflection at every stage of our work. Feminist leadership demands ongoing introspection, sensitivity, and a commitment to confidentiality while seeking to influence structures and politics in meaningful and ethical ways.
Feminist leadership centres people and processes and fosters accountability, equity, and transformative change while uplifting others and challenging entrenched power systems.
Feminist leadership seeks to question and dismantle systems of injustice while empowering individuals to recognise their power and privilege. It fosters awareness, builds trust, and inspires collective movements to challenge inequality. Ultimately, it transforms leadership into an inclusive and equitable practice that uplifts everyone.
What We’re Doing Now (links to projects)
- Modelling Feminist Leadership: Our organisation models the values we advocate by centring on the voices and experiences of our team members.
- Co-Creating Leadership Spaces: Collaborating with marginalised communities and survivors to cultivate leadership grounded in shared power and mutual respect.
- Engaging Decision-Makers: Working with civil society, bureaucratic, and political leaders to integrate feminist principles into daily leadership and decision-making practices.
We aim to redefine leadership as a model of inclusion, accountability, and equity. Our vision is for workspaces to transcend traditional hierarchies and become environments of safety, trust, and mutual respect—where every voice is recognised and valued. We envision leaders who use power responsibly, fostering trust, empathy, and a commitment to justice and equality. Through these principles, we hope to inspire a transformative approach to leadership that uplifts communities and drives meaningful change.
