This book documents experiences of Nepali women during the global COVID-19 pandemic. It features narratives from 77 individuals across all seven provinces, including marginalised groups, people with disabilities, and members of gender and sexual minorities. It also captures the experiences of those who worked on the frontlines to assist pandemic-affected individuals. Written by journalists and justice reporters trained by The Story Kitchen, the stories provide insight into women’s profound mental, economic, and social challenges during the two lockdown phases, exceeding the anticipated human toll.
