This book provides glimpses into the suffering, violence, and human rights abuses experienced by girls, adolescents, and women in Karnali Province during the armed conflict. It records the experiences of 22 conflict-affected women whose stories, despite the violence endured, remained in the shadows due to societal stigma and lack of political representation. The publication follows the principles of “victim- and survivor-led truth documentation,” emphasising solidarity between victims and survivors. The narratives were written by conflict survivors, trained as justice reporters by The Story Kitchen. The English translation of this book, Karnali Narratives: The Struggles & Resilience of Conflict Survivor Women in Nepal (2024), has also been published.
